This is a unique design richly traditional. The shrine is a simple carved solid cedar pillar, carved on 3 sides, and capped with a faux copper cap. The shrine comes complete with the post, cap, and statue. The statue of Mary is included but the style may vary.
The Pillar shrine is 6′ in length and ready to mount on your ground anchor (anchor is not included). Choose an anchor such as a post box anchor, suitable to your location, a number of different styles of anchors are available at your local hardware store. Or you can call us and special order an 8′ long pillar shrine for direct ground burial.
The front of the shrines is a deep carved niche to house the 6″ tall statue. The statue is mounted on a wooden base and is secured to the niche by a bottom bolt. The statue can be removed for cleaning or eventual replacement.
The statue we used is from the St. Joseph Collection. We treat the statue with a UV inhibitor clear coating to give it years of fade resistance. The cedar will last a lifetime and will only need staining perhaps once every other year, depending on your local conditions. With easy maintenance this simple shrine can look good in your yard or garden indefinitely. Our easy care instructions are included.
Our Marian pillar shrine is suitable for even the smallest of gardens. This shrine would look great incorporated into a deck rail or a wooden fence line. An elegant vining rose design is carved at the front and the text “Ave Maria” is caved on left and right sides of a 4x4x72 inch cedar pillar/ post.. This Marian shrine comes with our selection of statue, which currently is a lovely 6 inch resin statue of Immaculate Heart of Mary from the Joseph Studio Collection.
